Sulfuric acid has a strong dehydrating agent and applied in many applications like domestic acidic drain cleaner, electrolyte in lead-acid batteries and various cleansing agents. It is too useful for mineral processing, fertilizer manufacturing, petroleum purification, wastewater processing, and chemical synthesis. The catalytic decomposition of sulfuric acid on mixed Cr/Fe oxide, shows a useful application in sulfur-iodine cycle for hydrogen production.
