General Description
- This compound is composed of several compounds, including 375 mM Tris-HCl (pH 6.8), 9% SDS, 50% glycerol, 9% β-mercaptoethanol, 0.03% bromophenol blue
- The SDS compound present in the Laemmli SDS sample buffer binds noncovalently to proteins. SDS is negatively charged and can mask the intrinsic charge of the protein it binds
